Imam Khomeini Space Center near Semnan - Video

Useful, brief video on the Imam Khomeini Space Center near Semnan, distributed by "Nuclear Threat Initiative."

What's interesting in presentations such as these is the lack of mentioning the probable, common technological starting point for the Iranian Shahab-3/Ghadr, North Korean Nodong and Pakistani Ghauri-I/II missile programs: the Soviet Union era R-18. See HERE.

Also, there's no mention of Iran's publicly stated goal of putting a man into space, which would provide a more complete and balanced perspective on the Imam Khomeini Space Center.

All this is unacceptable from an Israeli/US viewpoint.

We will see how sorry they will be when the B-2s and Tomahawks start rumbling!

You do realise gurney that there are numerous us bases and thousands of us military personnel within range of irans short range weapons never mind its long range ones, and I`m sure they`d be pretty sorry when the Fateh-110 and land attack versions of the qader start rumbling

Trust me your bottle rockets will easily be picked out of the sky, but all the better for US, just keep living in your Mullahs prescribed illusion boy!

Your "heroic" regime's fascist military and its facilities like the Nazi ones will be disassembled in a rather violent way....freedom boy.... is worth waiting for!

You dont seem to realise that irans ballistic and cruise missile arsenals number from the mid hundreds right up to a couple of thousands, this isnt saddam with less than a hundred poorly modified scuds being shot off in ones and twos these would be salvos of dozens at a time far more than any defences could pick out of the sky,I certainly wouldnt want to be on the receiving end of that if I was serving in bahrain or kuwait, the flight times from iran would be a couple of minutes tops so I seriously doubt the`d have much chance of being picked out of the sky before they hit their targets,If the west was so certain as to its ability to destroy irans military and nuclear facilities why did it agree a deal that run counter to all its stated demands.I`ve got news for you gurney Iran isnt as weak nor the west as strong as you seem to think,as for the wests support for freedom in the region who do you think is supporting and propping up the dictatorships like saudi and the other gulf despots, considering how poorly the wars the us started in afghanistan and iraq turned out for the us and its interests I dont see the us taking on someone like iran any time soon.Perhaps before you post here in the future you actually educate yourself about the region and its recent history, perhaps that way you wont come off as some ranting right wing jingoist who watches too much fox news
