Iran, P5+1 to Resume Talks in February

Iran’s deputy foreign minister and senior nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi said today Iran and the six world powers would start their talks on final agreement on the country’s nuclear program in February, ISNA reported.

It had been agreed that with the start of the implementation of the interim Geneva accord, which happened on Monday, negotiations would begin on the final step.

Araqchi added that Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton had to discuss the time, place and level of talks. Those issues could be resolved over the next days at a potential meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland or the Munich Security Conference next week, Araqchi said.
