Iran’s Annual Non-Oil Exports at $41.5 Billion

Iran’s Customs Administration Director Abbas Memarnejad said the country’s non-oil exports in Iranian calendar year that ended on 20 March were $41.5 billion, while it imported $53.3 billion worth of goods excluding oil products, Fars News Agency reported today.

The volume of non-oil imports to exports decreased to $11.8 billion from $18 billion in its preceding year. Oil products that are not included in non-oil imports include condensates (a kind of oil with premium quality which is derived from gas wells), processed oil products such as furnace oil and gasoline and diesel fuel, as well as petrochemical products.

The government has not yet filed reports on oil exports and oil-related imports last year, but the chairman of Majlis Budget Reconciliation Committee said on Sunday the proposed budget for the current Iranian calendar year (1392) estimates oil exports at 1.3 million barrels a day, a drop from last year’s budget of 2.7 million bpd.

Just confirms the factual analysis on Iranian economic diversification and less reliance on energy. Iran is doing an amazing job despite US/Zionist lunatic sanctions and ill-wishes of its pathetic enemies. IRAN PAYENDEBAD.

you're blind. the Iranian economy isn't diversified and it isn't stable and it is not doing well. the sanctions are causing distress and the regime can talk all the crap that it must, but it doesn't have answers for the sanctions except to depend on smuggling and to beg for trade at terms not to the advantage to Iran's people.

the Iranian people are intelligent and resourceful but there are hard times ahead. the regime works for itself more than for the people.

And here is a list of the IRI's "non-oil" products: "condensates (a kind of oil with premium quality which is derived from gas wells)", "processed oil products", "petrochemical products". Apparently, non-oil" doesn't actually mean "non-oil". All of these products are derived from (wait for it)....oil. Real nice! Hmm, that's some kind of "diversification". Who are we kidding here? It's not as if the IRI is a major exporter of high tech electronics.

Not really. Iran is sitting on top of world's energy food chain and a real term GDP economy of close to a TRILLION dollars. Don't fall into the usual self-hate abyss. Iran is a 3000 year old civilization that created mercantilism and industry so no worries matey, just sip the latte and keep on venting.

You must live on a very depressing planet in a parallel universe and fed Zionist crappola in industrial doses. THE FACT IS THAT THE UN DESCRIBES IRAN AS AN UNQUALIFIED HEALTH & SOCIAL SUCCESS:

U.N. Stats: Life Longer and Healthier In Iran
April 8, 2013 | 11:21am
A new U.N. report highlights Iran’s significant progress in providing citizens with a long and healthy life, access to education and a decent standard of living. Between 1980 and 2012, Iran’s life expectancy at birth increased by 22.1 years, mean years of schooling increased by 5.7 years, and expected years of schooling increased by 5.7 years. The gross national income per capita also increased by about 48 percent between 1980 and 2012 to $16,880 on a nominal PPP basis.

The U.N. Human Development Index (HDI) is a summary measure of health, education and standard of living. Iran’s HDI is now 0.742 on in the world's medium ranking developed nations. In 1980, just after the Islamic Revolution, Iran’s HDI was only 0.443. The following are excerpts from the 2013 U.N. Human Development Report.

Oh yeah, Number 76 in HDI is "AN UNQUALIFIED HEALTH & SOCIAL SUCCESS". For Allah's sake, Mexico is Number 61 (15 places ahead of the terrorist regime) -- and if Mexico isn't an unqualified health & social success, I don't know what is. I wonder if Mexicans get as excited about being Number 61 as our West-residing IRI Groupies get out of Number 76?
