Iranian political prisoners demand the release of women prisoners on International Women's Day


According to a press release by the National Council of Resistance of Iran political prisoners in the Iranian Zahedan Central Prison in the south east of Iran have called upon the United Nations to help free female prisoners currently languishing in Iranian jails.

They made this call on the occasion of International Women's Day which they saluted. They also pointed out that the women of Iran have always had "an important and active role in the history of Iran." Adding that they hoped the "restrictions [on Iranian women] would be removed and the heroic women of Iran so they could reach their legitimate rights."

Restrictions can be removed with the removal of the rapist regime.
