Setareh Pars project under construction, Tehran

Setareh Pars is a large commercial office and residential project currently under construction near the Hagghani Metro Station in Tehran. Private contractor: Atlas Iranian.

Left: a number of tracked excavators working the construction pit
Right: reinforced concrete siding detail

Above: the enormity of the project is well captured in these views. Note the oversized IRI flag.

back in the 1930s during the Great Depression, when the US economy was in disarray and unemployment massive, and as bad as the real unemployment currently in Iran, the government funded massive amounts of construction projects.... far more extensive than the piddling things Pyruz is parading across these pages.

What a unique architectural design of IRAN! You name it.

so are you saying the regime is doing a mistake to allow these projects to come up or you are saying the opposite?

B.M.A,who the hell are you to ask an Iranian citizen what type of government they want to have?

To Anon 11:15PM

Smells like sour grapes... reeks of enviness... and perhaps a fragile ego...

I do not like the current regime and know it will change like any old, rotten thing in this life; But very glad Pyruz is posting these. Iran does not equal to Mullah's Regime. There are a lot more to Iran and its people. Happy at least someone tries to portray a bit about Iran and Iranians...

Anon 11:09--- no sour grapes and no envy. merely pointing out that these are small projects and not significant. it's merely an attempt to paint a false positive portrait of an Iranian economy that's in distress and worsening and piles of concrete do not change that unemployment in Iran is extensive, as is poverty.
