Faezeh Hashemi, Rafsanjani's Daughter, Released from Jail

Former member of Majils Faezeh Hashemi, the politically active and outspoken daughter of Iranian elder statement and former president Hashemi Rafsanajani, was freed today after six months in jail. She was jailed for “propaganda” against the state.

Ms. Hashemi’s release comes less than three months before the all-important presidential election where her father, the former president, is expected to play a major role. Ayatollah Rafsanjani is expected to either run for the presidency or play a kingmaker role if different political factions within the Islamic Republic would feel the importance and the urgency of an inclusive election that brings them together.

well if they went to all trouble to oppress her and deny her any meaningful speech and political rights, how fortunate for her that they're letting her walk around until after the election.

someday soon, it'll be a real pleasure to see the Ayatollahs decorating cranes in public squares

-REJOICE! seeing a daughter of a very important figure in ISLAMIC IRAN sent to jail in what is seemingly a sign of zero impunity!!.

THE WORLD MUST LISTEN to this iconic IRANIAN judicial system!!!.

"ISLAMIC IRAN" is the same as NAZI GERMANY or FASCIST ITALY.
There is no "ISLAMIC IRAN" only IRAN under ISLAMIC occupation.

Here, Here Anon 10:22 AM well said.

Most people in Iran will never understand that. They have been and will be controlled, heart & mind, cradle to grave. Shameful, glad that many have the courage & means to leave Iran and join freedom.
