Iran, P5+1 Deal ‘Close to Final Step’ – Report

Iran and six major powers are about to agree on a framework agreement regarding Iran’s nuclear program, Reuters reported, citing an unnamed senior Iranian official familiar with the talks.

“The sides are very, very close to the final step and it could be signed or agreed upon verbally,” the Iranian source said. (Reuters, 27 March)

The framework agreement would form the basis of a long-term accord after a 12-year standoff between Iran and the West over the country’s nuclear program.

Not by US behavior in Yemen. I don't believe it will happen.

a "framework agreement" is not at all much of an accomplishment at this point.

Many us mentors have already said, that they will get them ( the IRI ) on a hook, and strenghten our inside influence.....

In recent developments around the world, related to an open containment of Iranian influence, any emerging or lasting agreement, would be a kind of miracle and survival of Zarif's desires....

Correct, if US does not come to its senses and see the internal political dangers in Iran, it is more than certain that a very hardline government will take over that will make Ahmadinejad look like a Pennsylvania Quaker. The hardliners are in the ascendency as regional Wahabbi threats to Iran increase, and the Iranians living in Iran by nature are conservative people and will close ranks behind any government that provides security. US will be making the most dire mistake if its does not recognize regional realities and work out a deal with Iran.

there's not much to worry the US about which puppet heads the Iranian government as long as the Khomeinist dictatorship retains power.

the bottom-line position of the US government is that it is interested in changing iranian behavior in the most efficient way. ... and without giving much of a dam about how the Iranian government feels about it.
