They had to do what they had to do in order to circumvent the sanctions. And to punish them because they bribed some turkish officials is wrong.

However, if the incumbents benefited financially, or as how we say it here "took a little for off the top for themselves", then they should feel the full weight of justice.

The problem is this, power corrupts; ultimate power corrupts absolutely.

The entire Iranian culture is one of mafioso bribes, "eidi" bullshit. No one does a damn thing without a bribe in Iran.

In the United States, you talk to people and they're all good and honest. In Iran, everyone's a thief, a liar or someone trying to take advantage of you, from the bazaari trying to rip you off if you don't haggle, to the public servant who will forget your file claiming they're busy unless you pay them, to the judges who rule for the person who best greases their palm and on and on. The country is pure evil hell for anyone but bacheh akhoonds (the equivalent of Tony Soprano's children to complete the analogy) who ironically leave as soon as they can, and come to the west.

After returning from a very sad trip to Iran it is appalling to see the mass corruption, lies and complete breakdown of morality under the vile Mullahs. Iran's wealth has been squandered, the strong social mores turned into prostitution, mullahs and their cronies are stealing the country blind. Iran today has one of the highest divorce rates, high unemployment, high inflation, every young semi-educated Iranian wants to escape overseas and many are literally dying in leaky boats off Indonesia trying to get in to Australia or fly on fake passports to Europe.

It is ironic that sick and vile mullah's import over $2 billion dollars of alcohol, pornography and luxury items from Iraqi Kurdistan for their consumption. Prostitution and drug use is rife amongst all levels of the unraveling society. The mullahs and Ahmadinjad stole over $18 billion in gold bullion in collusion with the Turkish AKP and equally corrupt Erdogan and his sons. Iran's stock has never been lower, and if any country needs regime change pronto it is Iran and is hapless people.
