It would be interesting to see how Iranians can partially reorganize their regular army as an asymmetric counter-terrorism ( read counter-Taliban and counter-ISIL) rapid deployment force .Effectively fighting terrorist groups such as takfiri/Wahabis , requires a decided shifting away from conventional tactics and delving deep into unorthodox warfare.

These weapons are well suited for asymmetrical warfare and a good effort for sure. The Iranian Kornet E has proved in its worth in skilled Hezbollah and Ansarollah hands with devastating results, just ask the Zionists and Saudis. Over 95% confirmed hits and even knocked out Merkava, Abrams M1, Bradleys, AMX-30 and French Le Clerc heavy tanks.

Dear Anon 04:16
The last time I checked the news , it wasn't the Merkavas who were threatening the peace and innocent civilians in the region .

Last time I checked, and any time since Merkavas were first produced they have been continually threatening the peace and civilians of the region. The Merkava's destroyed by the Kornet E were invading, yet again, one of their neighbors. Back to topic. This period of isolation Iran has endured has been a fascinating example of how a country can achieve respectable results in self sufficiency. In many sphere's. Not least its defense industry.
