Iran's Population Hits 80 Million


Iran’s Population hits 80 million; with 2 million living outside the country, state news agency IRNA reported today. 70 percent of the population live in urban settings, with 30 percent in villages. 51 percent are men, 49 percent women. 55 percent of the population is under 30. 

The average size of Iranian families has dropped to 3, from 6 in mid-70s, with 33 percent of the families having no or just one child.

Should be 55% women and 45% men.More men equals more stress on society.Iran is to much of a male oriented society.

Iranian diaspora is circa 5 million, not 2.

I have seen figures of diaspora as high as 6 million and one of the most educated in the world.

When making statistical staements please have references, with links if possible. So if you claim its 5 instead of 2, what is the source of your census data?

What do you expect people to do, abort male fetuses or kill off 10% of the population that is male to make the ratio closer to your liking?
