Iran Test-Fires ‘New Generation’ Missiles

Iran's official news agency IRNA announced today that the Iranian military has successfully test-fired two “new generation” ballistic and laser-guided missiles designed to evade radar detection systems.

“The new generation of long-range ground-to-ground ballistic missile with a fragmentation warhead, and the laser-guided air-to-surface and surface-to-surface missile, dubbed Bina, have been successfully test-fired," said Iranian Defense Minister IRGC Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqan (IRIB/Reuters, 10 February)

“The Bina is capable of striking important targets such as bridges, tanks and enemy command centers with great precision,” Gen. Dehqan added.

The photo is not of a ballistic missile, its a laser guided bomb with a stand off rocket for deployment from a aircraft.

It appears to be not a ballistic missile but an Air-to Surface Missile with a Laser Guidance Unit.
Second version is the same missile launched from the ground using an additional booster, in this case it is a Surface-to Surface Short Range Missile with terminal laser guidance. Possible chinese tecnology.

True. They test fired two missiles, one of them, dubbed Bina ("Capable of Seeing"), which is pictured here, was a laser-guided SAM/SSM. Thanks for the note.
