Reports indicate Khamenei may be chronically ill

Numerous news outlets have speculated that recent events indicate that Iran's Supreme Leader may be suffering from a serious illness.

Hossein Rostami, an Iranian journalist, has reportedly wrote on Facebook that this "is not good news coming our way from our master."

He accordingly urged supports of the Supreme Leader to "pray deeply for him."

The report points out that Mr. Khamenei has not been seen in public since October 5

Last week he did not give his customary greeting to Iranian pilgrims as they set off for Mecca for the Shiite religious festival of Ghadeer.

Rostami has been asked by the Iranian authorities not to discuss or speculate about Mr. Khamenei's health online.

He has however posted a portrait of Mr. Khamenei accompanied by a poem by the legendary Persian poet Hafez on the subject of health. (The Washington Times, October 31)

what a waste of poetry for someone a turban head who has virtually no respect for Iranian culture and way of life and prefers and enforces an inferior culture that belongs to desert of arabia.

Every dog has their day. And by the looks of it the regime has had its days as well. Mullahs and their families followed by their supporters will be moving to Iraq soon. And hopefully never to set foot in Iran again. They are a curse on Iran.

Looks like you have friends, who believe that you have to support enemies, who at their core, ridicule other religions, and where the most American "christians" believe, that existence of the Zionism, that basically negate their christian believs, is important pereguisite for their "salvation"..

Recognizing huge importance of the SL Ajatollah A. Khamenei contributions as well as his legacy in the history of Iran, the Islamic Republic has an abundance of bright and strong leaders .....and essential lack of cowards, like it is present on the side of the West.

Let's hope that enemies' hopes will wither sooner or later....

From Nov. 2010:

(Reuters) - U.S. diplomatic cables released by online whistle-blower WikiLeaks include remarks from an Iran source in 2009 saying Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has terminal cancer, French daily Le Monde reported.

From October 2009:

(Realite EU and The Telegraph) According to numerous rumors, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reportedly died on October 14, 2009, of natural causes. The formal announcement is expected by some to be made tomorrow morning, October 15, 2009.

From January 2009:

(Haaeretz) Iran's blogosphere has been awash with rumors since Monday that the Islamic Republic's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has died. The rumors, spread on the micro-blogging Web site Twitter and other sites across the country, have been given credence by claims that security forces have surrounded Khamenei's home in Tehran, and that only the leader's sons are allowed access to him.

There are more of the same from previous years but I'm not going to put in any more time looking them up.

Khamenei could be ill this time but before jumping to any conclusions, I strongly recommend waiting for actual evidence to emerge.

More unsubstantiated crap

for the first two commentators always apply mannerism and rationality to your comments. Millions have their prayers around the world for good health of this great, steadfast and pious man. and remember the system of revolution is mature enough to move forward and it is been well protected and gaurded. the bad hopes of ill wishers would not make any difference.

Speak for yourself B.M.A. The man and his regime you support still live in the 7th century. Islam is dead as a religion in Iran and the types of people that support this old git are praying that he lives a few days longer so that they continue to steal, rape and murder a bit more. The winds of change are on the way and it wont be favoring the neanderthals you support in Tehran.

The man and the regime is responsible for thousands of deaths and untold misery and you write about having "mannerism" and "rationality"? Maybe a lot of his supporters and paid foreign islamic agents are praying for him and the regime to stay a little longer, but nothing lasts for ever. And that includes the terrorist occupiers in Iran. Just one of his many accounts is holding £3 Billion in a UK bank doesn't make one a "pious man".

Khamenei probably goes down in history as the worst leader Iran ever had. The man who solely brought Iran into a international isolation, the threat of war and destruction and the man who has been responsible for attracting the worst (economic) sanctions Iran ever faced. A man who was only a simple hojjatoleslam when he suddenly was promoted to Ayatollah for political reasons. A man who has locked or house-arrested various popular leaders like Ayatollah Boroujerdi, Grand Ayatollah Montazeri and the reformists leaders Karroubi and Mousavi.

The chants of 'marg bar dictator' and 'marg bar Khamenei' are still a testimony of the real image of Iranians of this man. Khamenei has been the enemy of Iran, a 2500 year old entity. So in despite of a bunch of illiterate fanboys and hypocritical moft khors, millions of Iranians abroad and in Iran will surely celebrate his death. Let alone the families of martyrs like Neda and thousands of other political activists who have been tortured, raped and killed by the regime he represents and lead.

Let we hope this news is true!

totally agreeed. The man and around him are a disgrace to Iran

And the man ( obama ) and the regime is responsible for millions of deaths. Where is the different. Oh yes i forgot its in the name of democracy and not in the name of god ( what is the point in iran ).

we can hope for the end of the louse-ridden regime without needing to wish for the terminal illness and death of Khamanei

Anon 2:41......There is no comparison what the regime is doing against the Iranian people. You don't see Americans hanging from cranes and being executed by their own governmen for no reason. The subject is the regime in Iran not the US government. You know very well "the point in Iran" so don't try to gloss over it.

Anonymous said...

Agreed, the whole regime is the problem.Iran will be on the way up when this filthy anti Iranian regime is gone.

Last time I looked there were plenty of executions in the us and plenty of condemned awaiting execution on the nations death rows, but then I guess you only have a problem with the death penalty when its iran exercising it

Anon 3:21 AM......No,I have a problem with the islamic regime executing political prisoners and claiming they are "criminals".You may have eyes but you refuse to see the difference between the US and the islamic regimes nature. Some US states executes murderers, child killers. The islamic regime kills anybody for its survival. The regime will kill you even if you say that khamenei is an idiot. Don't believe me? Go and stand in Ferdowsi square and shout out profanity against him and the regime then you will see what I mean.

The stupid old goat is still alive.

Khamenei as well as the regime will leave a legacy of lies, thieft, rape, torture and mass murder behind. Your hope will go down into the grave with their legacy.

With an estimated $95 Billion in one of his accounts,he gives a new meaning to his so-called "piety".
