Iran’s Nuclear Proposal at Geneva Talks – Al Monitor


Barbara Slavin, the Washington correspondent for Al Monitor and long-time Iran watcher, reported today that Iran’s proposal at Geneva Talks included the following:

-       Freeze on production of 20-percent enriched uranium.
-       Pledge to convert its 20-percent stockpile to fuel rods.
-       Relinquishing spent fuel for Arak plutonium-based reactor.
-       Ratification of IAEA’s Additional Protocol.

The proposal, presented by Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, included two stages, each to last a maximum six months.
