Morsi Calls on Assad to Transfer Power – ‘Regime Has Lost Its Legitimacy’

Syrian Delegation Walks Out of NAM Summit

Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi described the Syrian regime as “oppressive” that has lost its legitimacy. He expressed his support for the struggle of the Syrian opposition and called on Assad to transfer power to a democratic system. He also called on all nations to support the Syrian people struggle against the government. The Syrian delegation walked out of the Summit in protest.

"We should all express our full support to the struggle of those who are demanding freedom and justice in Syria and translate our sympathies to a clear political vision that supports peaceful transfer of power to a democratic system," Morsi said.
Morsi added that the world had a "moral duty" to stand with the Syrian people in their struggle "against an oppressive regime that has lost its legitimacy." (al-Jazeera, 30 August)

The U.S. backs its master, Israel, and Iran backs Syria. If the U.S. could, why can't Iran. This is called 'democracy'. Isn't it?

@mat are you implying that Syria is Iran's master?

Nader Uskowi is an unethical man who can't stand the progress of his own people! who can't stand the fact that his people have moved on without him and the the loyal brainwashed dissidents of the Shah! who live in the U.S. and will stay in the U.S. cursed by their own Countrymen forever!
Muhammad Morsi is an agent of the Anglo American/Brittish/Zionist powers. If you were a real journalist you would not suppress the opposing view points on your blog. View points that advocate a fair and impartial look at the Iranian Governments foreign policies. But I guess that's expecting too much from you! because if it's the shah's dissidents that you support, theirs no way in hell, you will allow a fair and opposing post or comment!
on your blog! because you're not man enough to take it!

I want to congratulate you on getting your comment published. I'm sure you find it hard to express your opinion on websites outside the sphere of the uncensored and free Internet in Iran. You have my sympathy!

I was wndering if you ever tried posting a similar criticism on khamenie's website! or any govnment blog in Iran and see if it gets published. My guess is that not only it would not get published, but you would be getting a visit from the friendly security forces tonight.

That's the problem with regime supporters. You're quick to label people who disagree with the shenanigans of the regime as "Shah supporters" or MKO. But in reality it shows the utter disdain which is reflected through the regime supporters by the leadership that exists in Tehran.
And one more thing,Uskowi is not a Shah supporter.

very ironic, now you called him a regime supporter.

My congratulations for expressing your wievs.
I agree that Mr. Morsi is a biased man and his behavior (four hours visit to Iran?)shows negligence and ignorance of common logic.
He will have to learn somehow in a hard way...later.

Morsi was educated in the US, and any assumptions regarding his background, can be true...
He has apparently ignored proposal that $1.3 Bln financial help from the US can be substituted by Iranian one.
I personally think that the "Egyptian revolution", to some degree, was manipulated...(check Mr. Wael Ghonim's background, connections and behavior).

Maybe your words are too "sharp", but they reflect and properly counter the logic of majority of people who oppose the Islamic Republic of Iran on this(these) blog(s).

Regarding your comments about the Shah's legacy, I believe that it is a theatrical issue like the Great Britain's monarchy with Prince Harry...and their other affairs.
Let them stay in their illusions...they will soon fade and wither naturally.

I believe that authors of this blog assume that some people from Iran (opposition) use to read this blog and some... messages (including encrypted?) will be conveyed to them. Therefore, they have to moderate the outcome...

You know nothing of Iran's history, accept parroting the usual garbage coming out of regime adherents.
