Morsi Will Not Attend NAM Summit in Tehran - Report

Pan-Arab daily Al-Hayat, quoting sources close to the Egyptian presidential palace, reports that Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi will not attend the upcoming NAM summit in Tehran. The Iranian leadership had sought Morsi’s participation as a symbol of expanding Iranian influence in the region in the aftermath of Arab Spring toppling of pro-West governments, like that of Hosni Mubarak’s.

Iranian news agency ISNA reports that Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Kandil will represent Egypt at the summit.

This shows , Egypt to be not 100% free of the US and Israeli leash.

Iran relations is ironically the indicator of freedom for those craving for it.

Bless Iran and hope for a successful Olympics for Iran.
