No U.S.-Iran Military Coordination against ISIL - Rice

U.S. national security advisor Susan Rice said on Friday the United States is not engaged in military coordination with Iran on countering Islamic State forces in Iraq and Syria.

“We are in no way engaged in any coordination – military coordination – with Iran on countering ISIL,” said Rice at a White House briefing.

then why the need for such comments? especially against the backdrop of news of Obama's letter to the SL. US is definitely having some military cooperation, but it might be subtle, secret or tacit. i call this comment by rice BS!

staying out of each others way so as to avoid unnecessary conflict or unintended injuries ....is far, far different than co-ordination, Kemjika.

Rice, as diplomats do, is using words with more precision than people usually do. sometimes they do that to insure clarity, other times to create a bit of confusion.
