Iran Navy Launches New Ship

The Iranian Navy today unveiled a new missile frigate. The domestically produced Sina-7 was launched on Wednesday at Bandar Abbas. The state-run TV quoted Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari as saying that Iran must possess the “newest technology and top-grade facilities to protect its borders.” (IRIB, 28 November)

IRIN also launched two new Ghadir submarines and two repaired hovercrafts.
