First Kurdish National Congress to be Held in Erbil

600 delegates of Kurdish political parties from Iraq, Syria, Iran and Turkey, as well as Kurds living in exile, will meet 15 to 17 September in Erbil, the capital of Kurdistan region, in an effort to improve relations.

The First Kurdish National Congress in Erbil is “the dream of all Kurds everywhere and is going to bring us closer as parties across the region”, said Salih Muslim leader of the Syrian Kurds’ Democratic Union Party. (RFRL, 7 September)

Is Turkey going to be absent or is it a typo in this post (having Syria twice)? Is this congregation sanctioned in any way by their respective governments?

Thanks for pointing up the error; it's now corrected. The Kurds from Turkey will have one of the largest delegations.

I'm against the Islamic regime but Iran under any system will not be broken up.The Kurds(an Iranian tribe) can break up Iraq,Turkey and Syria because it's their lands. But all of Iran is the natural home of the Kurds.
