Pentagon Dismisses Report on Israeli Buildup to Attack Iran

The Pentagon today dismissed as "ridiculous" a report by Iran’s state-owned television network Press TV saying Israeli military aircraft were massing at Al Asad, a US airbase in Iraqi province of Al Anbar, for a strike on Iran. Col. Dave Lapan, a Pentagon spokesman, said there was no truth to the report [Reuters, 2 May].

Anti-Israeli sentiment is a national pastime in Iraq. Do you honestly expect me to believe that the ordinary Iraqis will stand by and allow Israel to use their country as a staging area for attacks on Iran? I think not.

Even Iran's Press TV knew it was BS.

The classic move: use the Jew as a scapegoat for all your problems.

Won't be the Jew that is going to cause Iran to implode and explode.

Who said anything about "jews"?

Israel is a "state", no?

And has not Israel the "state" repeatedly threatened Iran?

Yes, because Jewish organizations have done nothing to harm average Iranians.
