Ahmadinejad’s Provocative Statement on Obama’s Presidency

By Nader Uskowi

The Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said today that US President Barack Obama must change his policy toward Iran; otherwise his presidency will be “ended.” Ahmadinejad made the statement during a TV interview with Turkey’s ITV. Iran’s official new agency, IRNA, carried the story.

“The US president should accept realities and change his policy toward Iran. Otherwise that would mean the end of his presidency,” Ahmadinejad said [IRNA, 6 June].

Ahmadinejad must know well that the first four-year term of Obama’s presidency can only end through general election, but he still elects to make such provocative statement. His irresponsible proclamations is costing Iran dearly, loosing allies and collecting enemies, and risking to bring more hardship to the Iranian people.

The sooner IRI gets rids of Mahmoud, the better. The green movement is irrelevant. Mahmoud is causing so much damage on a daily basis, almost anybody will be better than him.

Totally agree. Ahmadinejad is not only a liability but also a disgrace to Iran.

What " is costing Iran dearly, loosing allies and collecting enemies, and risking to bring more hardship to the Iranian people",in your own words, is the unremitting hostility of the US establishment towards the IRI. You should know that this hostility has persisted for decades. Under the last "reformist" President the IRI ceased enrichment and cooperated in the invasion of Afghanistan, what did they get for that Nader? The IRI agrees to ship out uranium now, and what do they get in return?
The IRI will still be standing when America's ability to punish it for what it is fades forever.

I believe historically Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the right man for Iran as the world is going through a mega-power shift to a multi-polar Asia centric dimension. Let there be no doubt that he will finish his second four year term successfully and then perhaps retire to his teaching job. Contrary to the naive or wishful propaganda since 1979, the institutions of the Islamic Republic are resilient and have withstood numerous US destabilization attempts, wars, sanctions and terror campaign by MKO, Tudeh, Fedayeen, PJAK, Jundollah and assorted foreign funded thugs, however, Iran is still standing tall and will remain so long after the US has sailed into eternal sunset. BTW, next week Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is headed for China.

PS to anon, thanks for the link on the Zionist cowards whose elite forces were thumped by Turkish civilians and aid workers. I had posted similar analysis that day after watching many independent videos. Iran indeed has nothing to fear from the Zionist cowards who have been lording over corrupt Arab regimes with US largesse and modern weaponry. Anyone who has analyzed and seen the pathetic military performance of Zionists when faced with regular military, knows that most of them are scrawny cowards who run when faced with a real military force. Hezbollah proved it in 2006 and even in hand to hand combat at Marun al Ras, got the better of the scrawny Zionist "elite" forces and their wonder weapon, the Merkeva tanks, knocking out a dozen in one engagement alone with Kornet AT missiles. Even Egyptians crossing the Suez in 1973 put the "elite" Zionist Golani Brigade to fligth within hours and capturing the whole invincible Bar Lev line. The simple fact is that the Zionists have created a myth supported by Hollywood Jews about the laughable invincibility of Zionist military, real facts point to the contrary. Killing unarmed and defenceless PEACE ACTIVISTS and Arab civilians is one thing taking on the battle tested militaries of Iran or Turkey is entirely an differnet ball game.

Anon 4:56,

This post is about irresponsible proclamations and erratic behavior of Ahmadinejad, which I believe are costing Iran dearly. I was not discussing the country's foreign policy.

On Afghanistan, Iran's supreme leader was the authority in the country that approved Iran's cooperation with NATO forces in pushing the Taliban out of power.

On shipping the uranium abroad, I do support Tehran's agreement. I wish it had come earlier, or contained more the 1,200kg of LEU now that it was coming so late in the game. It could be perceived as too little, too late, and a ploy to avoid UN sanctions.

My God what are some of you afraid of, sanctions ?? war ?? as if its anything new... let the dice role and always think to yourselves... the result must fit and in Irans case it does...always has..

Apart from personal liberties that we all miss in Irans society, they are actually doing a fine job despite of relentless negative propaganda against them by so called specialists and reporters and etc, etc. and hobby oppositions and CIA sponsored Homepages and blogs (Tracert some of the blogs and Homepages.. it will take you to Virgina servers loool)

keep it all down and trust Iranian instincts (a virtue a lot of us seem to have lost due to long absence from Iran)

Bless Iran
