Above: A photo of Iran's nuclear negotiators, with the caption entitled 'Children of Revolution' that was tweeted today by Ayatollah Khamenei's Twitter account. The caption reads:
“Children of Revolution. No one should accuse our negotiators of compromise (against Iran’s interests.) They are the children of revolution. They are entrusted with a tough mission… We strongly support the leaders of our diplomacy.” (
The supreme leader’s strong support of the negotiating team and calling them the “children of revolution,” clearly is an attempt to prepare the public for an emerging nuclear deal with the West.
The bottom two photos capture the front page of today’s editions of Sharq and Kayhan, the influential moderate and hardline newspapers respectively. Their banner headlines on today’s Geneva talks manifest the political divide in Iran.
