Iran Nuclear Talks "Constructive" – EU

A spokesman for EU said the initial talks between Iran and world powers on the country’s nuclear program were held in a “constructive atmosphere.” The representative of six major powers, the US, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany – today met senior Iranian officials in Istanbul for talks aimed at easing tensions over Iran's nuclear work.

"They met in a constructive atmosphere," said Michael Mann, the EU spokesman. "We had a positive feeling that they did want to engage."

A second session of talks was scheduled later in the day.
