Iran Navy Captures Somali Pirates - Fars News

Iranian navy has captured 13 suspected Somali pirates in late March, IRIN Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said today. The pirates were arrested some 3,000 kilometers from the Iranian border after they tried to seize the Iranian oil tanker and exchanged fire with an Iranian navy ship patrolling in the area. The captured pirates are being taken to Iran, IRIN commander said. The name of the tanker and the exact location of the incident have not been disclosed.
