The Turkish President Abdullah Gul arrived in Tehran on Sunday on a 4-day state visit. The picture above shows the Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi (R) greeting Gul upon his arrival at Mehrabad airport in Tehran.

Iran and Turkey are forming a very strong strategic axis that is good for the region and the world. Both these Muslim nations are the only ones that have never tasted the foul and evil taste of imperialism like most Arabs and other Muslim nations from Indonesia to Pakistan.Iran and Turkey with over 160 million hard working and nationalistic people are joined by religion, culture, language and shared history present a formidable and independent multi-polar bloc as power shifts to Asia. The strengthening economic interaction between these two powerhouses with a real GDP (PPP) nearing $1.5 TRILLION or more is also very positive development. Hopefully, rest of the Islamic nations that have fallen victim to US imperialism and warmongering, Euro duplicity and Zionist evil will take note and free themselves too and follow an independent path and not be puppets of US.
My advice to all muslim nations and countries all over the world is to 'free' yourselves from being the US and the Zionist Regime of Israel's fool playing tools, puppets or even slaves[the most shameful acts].So,the only thing you should to do is by returning to the'Holy Quran' and 'Al-Hadith'.
An Egypt that seeks to revatilise its economy and respond to the demands of its young and growing population cannot help but travel down the same road as Turkey. Improved economic and socio-political relations with Iran are vital to achieving this.
I echo GiftedOne comment by saying:An IRAN that seeks to revitalise its economy and respond to the demands of its young and growing population cannot help but travel down the same road as Turkey. Improved economic and socio-political relations with THE REST OF THE WORLD are vital to achieving this.
Well, Reader, I guess the first thing Iran should do in emulating Turkey is have several military coups, join Nato, recognize Israel, ban headscarves, repress minorities, attack Cyprus, and become the security guard for the Asian flank of the Christian European union.
For the last commentator, who I presume is masquerading as GiftedOne, I could only wish the gift of positive thinking.
Turkey unfortunately is going down the same path as Iran, Russia and countless other nations that will be annihilated by the Creator of the Universe when they try and attack Israel as foretold in scripture.
LOL, it was me Reader, i was using another PC and couldn't log in.To be honest I would rather an Iran more like Turkey, than a Turkey more like Iran...but mostly only in terms of civil liberties, democratic representation, and diplomatic engagement.
