UAE still has hopes to regain control of the 2 or 3 disputed islands it claims Iran is occupying. Iran seems to be the rightful owner of the islands, and the UAE will never get them back. doesn't it surprise us all that UAE is the 3rd largest arms buyer in the world! yes, they are really scared of Iran, but they can't defeat Iran...

The Iranian construction and investment companies in Dubai close to the Iranian government and the IRGC are facing potential losses of hundreds of millions of dollars due to the current financial meltdown in the emirate and the bankruptcy of Dubai World. Most of government and IRGC-supported Iranian companies were doing business with Dubai World. Iran wants to find ways to recoup some of the losses, probably getting some lands in lieu of their investments, and ways to get their cash out of Dubai banks.
