Iran Opposes US Troop Surge in Afghanistan

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said today in Tehran that President Obama’s decision to dispatch 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan would not resolve the crisis in the country.

"The real solution for Afghanistan is to respect its sovereignty and let the Afghan people determine their own political fate," Mottaki said [IRNA, 3 December].

if the Obama wants to send a financially bankrupt republic down to it's downfall in the graveyard of empires then let him!

and i heard that to fund it, congress wants the income tax increased by 1-5%. If that happens, obama can say bye-bye to winning the next election-republicans will rock him on that issue so badly...
