The IAEA officials and inspectors arrived in Tehran today for a second visit in less than a month in what are expected to be key talks on Iran’s nuclear program [IRIB, 20 February].
Come what may, Iran would go on with its peaceful nuclear energy program. So far, no one yet could ever dream of deterring or stopping its progress.
bray on, mat........Iran's weapons program is going to deeply wound the nation and push a great many Iranians into poverty.
and the IAEA team leaves Iran.......UN watchdog says nuclear talks with Iran failed---------------------........"During both the first and second round of discussions, the agency team requested access to the military site at Parchin. Iran did not grant permission for this visit to take place," the Vienna-based IAEA said in a statement after the Feb 20-21 talks. The IAEA named Parchin in a detailed report in November that lent independent weight to Western fears that Iran was working to develop an atomic bomb, an allegation Iranian officials reject."It is disappointing that Iran did not accept our request to visit Parchin. We engaged in a constructive spirit, but no agreement was reached," said IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano..........http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/22/us-iran-nuclear-idUSTRE81K1ZF20120222
'IRAN CONSTRUCTING NUCLEAR FUEL COMPLEX: FOREIGN MINISTER SALEHIWed Feb 22, 2012 7:53AM GMTIran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi says the Islamic Republic is currently constructing a fuel complex despite efforts by Western powers to undermine Iranian nuclear achievements. Iran is among the few countries that possess the capacity to construct a fuel complex, so Western countries were caught by a surprise discovering Iran's access to the technology, Salehi said on Tuesday.Iran requested a 20-percent-enriched fuel supply from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) some two years ago, but they began imposing conditions on the legitimate demand, leaving us with no other option than to produce the fuel on our own, he added.
Anon 4:32 PMNonsense. Iran's nuclear program will pay great dividends for them in the long run.
I expect that the nuclear program WILL be extremely beneficial for Iran as it will lead to the end of the current vile regime.
