Let’s hope the regime in Iran follows suit and release those who have been imprisoned in Evin solely for peaceful expression of their beliefs and political point of view who have never been charged with a crime.

She's of course the daughter of Aung San, hero of the Burmese struggle for independence against Britain, co-founder of the Burmese Communist Party, a "traitor rebel leader" according to Winston Churchill (yes, the same who would have gladly let Ghandi -another Nobel Peace Prize nominee- die in prison) and allegedly assassinated by British operatives.

Let's wait and see how much those years of confinement have affected her long term memory...
