Thus is good stuff. Let the enemy constantly be in a conundrum on the capability of your armed forces and you have achieved a fair measure of deterrence. keep them guessing

Any expert there to tell us how effective these home grown aerial defence systems are against the modern enemy jet fighters? Are we trying to fight a gun wielding enemy with our bow and arrows? Hope not.

The ingenuity of Iranian engineers and IRIAF pilots is astonishing. It is a proud achievement to see dozens of US manufactured aircraft upgraded and still flying in pristine condition despite 33 years of total spare parts embargo. To see the F-14A Persian Cat flying is a testament to Iran's engineering prowess.
Payendebad Iran.

Oh come on, where's the new stuff?!

A ground-launched Shahin is too slow, "upgraded" S200's immobile: perfect sitting ducks for a (sub launched) tactical ballistic missile.

"3000km radar"?: either against ballistic missiles (but what will the interceptor be, a Shahin ?!) or maybe a "ring" of (interconnected?) AWACS aircraft... I only saw a couple of civilian Iran-140's lately.

You may impress your average TV audience with rotating antenna's but they're so outdated.

Sorry, but this won't do at all!

Before I get "flak"-ed, I'm talking about deterrence... as in S300-deterrence.

Because, unless you've got thousands of capable point-defense systems, most of Iran will be reduced to rubbles once your strategic air defenses have been taken out (see my previous comment).

Remember IED, they even had a cheek to make the I as Improvised meaning so low tech!, now this Improvised device has cost NATO billions and untold lives just to find a deterrence against them. So all that glitters is not the best. American hardware typically is very fragile and it does not take much to make it break down as US weapons designs are engineer driven and not mission/solider driven, or better still remember the mother of all battle tanks the Merkava, the invincible tank brought down by home designed missiles.

You are kidding right? I mean you must kid yourself to think that a system that uses violence against its own citizens is a match against a democracy. And "capability", dude these are obsolete weapons sold at x times their value to an evil regime.
