Ahmadinejad: No Negotiations Over “Nuclear Rights”

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in Qazvin today that Iran will not enter into any negotiations with the major world powers over its “nuclear rights”.

Ahmadinejad said Iran was only willing to discuss “global issues” with the West as an equal partner.

“The West should sit down at the negotiating table with an equal status as us and based on mutual respect. Under such condition, Iran can hold talks on global issues," he said [IRNA, 10 November].

Ahmadinejad did not make it clear as to why Iran had accepted EU’s invitation to hold talks on the country’s nuclear program with the P5+1 if the “nuclear rights” issues, that presumably include uranium enrichment programs, are off the table.

I think negotiations are a silly thing. Iran can do whatever they want, because whoever has the nuclear power is free.

There is no evidence in the history of manking, people who has the nuclear power, can be defeated or stoped.

Congratulations for iranian for win this match.

To those who had congratulated Ahmadinejad on his decision not to discuss the country's nuclear program with P5+1, please read Friday 12 November post on Iran's decision to hold talks in Vienna over nuclear program. Iran's chief nuclear negotiator will represents Iran at talks with P5+1. I believe Ahmadinejad's behavior must be confusing toyou!

Well,i think one thing is hold talks with the west about nuclear Iran, that i think it is not negotiable, and another is talk about the weather.

If Iran talks with the west about the weather,i think we must not have a problem about that.

But the agenda is not the weather!

But it will be.The agenda can be other, but Iran can go to meeting and expoxe solution for climate change and international issues,NOT the rianian program.
