Azad University - Qazvin

The campus of Islamic Azad University in Qazvin. Azad (“Free”) University is Iran’s largest with over 1 million students and 350 campuses covering all major population centers in Iran, and campuses in foreign countries such as UK and UAE. Recently, the university has been the subject of a power struggle between its independent board of trustees and the Ahmadinejad administration. The government is trying to take over the private institution, but is facing stiff resistance from its board led by Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani.

Nice looking and very modern world-class campus. Iran's investment in tertiary education is paying great dividends in the nation's progress.

Free as in "Free Beer" or Free as in Rasfanjani's discretion! I seem to remember reading that majority of students who mistakenly were involved in violent demonstrations during the election were from these universities?

Teachers and profs are the same as state UNIs so no difference.

I know many whose Bachelor or masters have been not only accepted but given great jobs.

We all have the responsibilities to make sure they are promoted for the sake of Irans greatness.

Those trivializing Iranians and their achievemments are unfortunately all Jewish Iranians from Israel. I can see it from the IPs.

Being trivialized by a people cursed by God is no offence dear anon 4:06
consider it a confirmation or validation by God.
By the way, would love to know how you trace the ip.

God Bless Iran and all Iranians across the globe except the MKO

Then they come and fill it with their thugs the basij and call them "students",just to make sure the university is under control.

What is the point when there is no freedom and human rights in Iran?
When the regime thugs the basij throw students out of windows and set the dorms alight.

Islamic theocracy donates One Billion dollars a year to Hezbollah alone and the regime steals Billions of dollars and their families live in mansions in Toronto and LA.Just last year one of their terrorist followers stole $3.5 Billion and went to Canada.

The word Azad (free)applies only to the basij thugs which are sent to the universities in Iran to freely bash and burn REAL students, meanwhile their thieving masters and their families live freely in the lap of luxury.

Ha Ha Ha!!...What is the point in those degrees when you have ten thousand talabs from Qom sent into government work places with no degrees at all?
Or when you have Ghasemi the illiterate IRGC thug and now the head of the once proud oil company recruit three thousand stupid basij with no education what so ever except taught in how to obey the mullahs edicts and bashing the people on their heads when they rightly protest.

Seventy five percent of the library is full of BS.

yeah the commentators above are right, its just a Mock up university filled with Basiji's and Talabs. Thats why they built a solar car that is this week participating in the US solar Challenge. And thats why they came in 17th worldwide at the last solar challenge.

Anon 1217: Yup these students sure look like hardcore iliterate basijis to me as the video below shows. Why dont you call the US Solar challenge committee to disqualify them as their car is obviously a defunct mock up
