Military Option against Iran ‘Ready and Available’ - Panetta

Preference for Diplomacy

Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said today in an interview with ABC News' This Week that military option against Iran is ready and available and neither U.S. nor international community will allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon. Panetta also emphasized that the preference is for diplomacy over military intervention.

“The fundamental premise is that neither the United States nor the international community is going to allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon,” Panetta said. “We will do everything we can to prevent them from developing a weapon.”

“It would be preferable to solve this diplomatically and through the use of pressure, than to use military force,” Panettal added. “But that doesn’t mean that (military) option isn’t fully available. Not just available, it’s ready. The necessary planning has been done to ensure that it’s ready.”

These words are said to keep the AIPAC slaves of US on a leash.
A war can be started but not ended at will.
The US has now 12% homlessness and after 6 months of war with Iran it will be 35%
imagine when 90 mil. people hold a stone in their hands and decide to make the 2% deciding for them hunted away from power.

It's all no other than the cowardly Zionist of the U.S., Israel and its allies' psychological warfare campaigns against a regional superpower Iran.

Adam Lowther, a member of the faculty at the US Air Force's Air University on Jan 9, 2012 said:

Iran is not like Grenada, Panama, Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Serbia, Afghanistan or Iraq that the US invaded, adding that in all of these examples, the US military defeated an adversary incapable of competing with the US.

He also noted that the Iranian military is far more competent and capable and after watching the war in Iraq for a decade has a good understanding of US tactics and strategy.

*In the event of a war with Iran, the U.S. Pentagon is well awared of the consequences.

What did you expect him to say?

"No, we can't attack Iran because our air foce is on strike?"

What idiotic "news."

With this kind of statement, they wonder why Iran is going ahead with their nuclear program?

They can't eat their cake and have it too..Statements like these gives Iran no option but to go full steam for the bomb..I would do the same if I were in Iran's shoes..

It's...."You can't bake your cake and eat it too."

The bomb didn't save the Soviet Union and Iran is no Soviet Union.

Its Israel all the way.
All problems start and end with Israel.

The bomb didn't save the Soviet Union and Iran is no Soviet Union.

The bomb was never intended to save a country from its internal threats.

The bomb knocked Japan out of the war and therefor ended WW2.
The Soviet Union developed the bomb and started the cold war and America won that cold war.
The answer to your ignorant question is yes because it already happened and that's why you're in the West enjoying its freedoms and bad mouthing off negative nonsense towards it and the people who know what they're talking about.

Annon May 29, 2012 8:16 AM,

So by your comment, you agree that Japanese deserved to be nuked so the West can have freedom? And that the US is free today because they have nukes?

If nukes have brought freedom to the West, why are they struggling to prevent Iran from developing their nuclear program? After all, by your logic, nukes guarantee freedom and since the US has been accusing Iran of not having freedom, wouldn't it be sensible for Iran to also have nukes so they can have freedom?

PS: I can't believe you justify the nuking of Japanese people as a good thing to guarantee Western freedom. You should bow your head in shame for such out of touch terrorist mindset..Shame on you!

Anon 3:44 PM......That's right but you go and tell the Islamic regime that. They think the bomb can be used to blackmail the west against Israel.
The bomb can be used against the Iranian people by claiming that if the regime collapses it will fall into the hands of hostile forces. As if the forces that might posses the bomb aren't hostile already.

Anon 2:46 PM......Will you stop writing nonsense for once and looking for excuses.
I didn't say Japan deserved it but if they had nukes they would have used it.
Japan and NAZI Germany had terrible regimes not unlike Iran today. If you don't like the democratic governments of the west and modern Japan go and live in Wahhabi Arabia or Fascist Shiite Iran.
People like you are mentally incapable in understanding how a modern country should run.You people think in terms of your bigoted religion and superstitions.
Go and educate yourself for god sake.

PS:The so-called government you support is a well known terrorist entity which supports a government in Syria to kill hundreds of children in their sleep.
Shame is something for which you haven't any.
