The Israeli naval blockade of Gaza has been extended from six nautical miles to 20 nautical miles, preventing ships from breaking the siege. There is an Iranian mercy ship attempting to enter Gaza with humanitarian aid.

the US is the only country saving Israel from Iran's onslaught. Iran could really embarrass ISrael either way with this humanitarian aid. I'll watch to see how this develops..

When will the Iranian mercy ship reach the approaxmity of gaza? Stand firm Iran, these spineless IDF have no guts for a one 2 one confrontation.

I have just spent 2 hrs listening on PressTV, no mention or any statement about the mercy ship. What is going on, now that PressTV is as popular as Aljeezera in Arab states sure this would have a scoop for its pro palestinian policy. Can anybody share anylight?

Reported from Haaretz on 12/27/08:

"This consignment will leave Bandar Abbas for Palestine on Saturday and will arrive in 12 days," a provincial Red Crescent director, Ahmad Navvab, was quoted as telling the French news agency AFP".

Have you guys been following the movement to break the naval blockade? The first ship reached Gaza, but the second one, from Libya I think, was turned around and forced to dock in Lebanon. With the Israeli election on the horizon, and the new-found wiliness to be brutal on a macro scale vis-a-vis the Gaza campaign, that ship will be turned around for sure. I mean, you'd be better off asking Ariel Sharon for compassion...
