Press TV Correspondent Killed in Turkey

Press TV said Serena Shim, its international correspondent, was killed on Sunday in a car accident near the Turkish-Syrian border. She was returning from a report scene to her hotel in the Turkish city of Surush.

Press TV called the accident “suspicious,” adding that on Friday Shim had received threats from Turkish intelligence agency, accusing her of espionage, and that she told Press TV that she was fearing for her life.

Serena Shim was an American citizen of Lebanese origin. She covered hotspots in Lebanon, Iraq and Ukraine for Press TV. She was in Turkey to cover the war in Kobane.

Press TV lambasts the idea of US-Iran reconciliation

In an article on Press TV Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast responded to news of the US opening up a virtual embassy for Iranians stating that is the epitome of America's failure in comprehending the Iranian nations "message" well over 50 years after the 1953 US backed coup against Mossadeq.

This virtual embassy was announced by Hilary Clinton in separate interviews for the Persian language version of the BBC and Voice of America. It will provide Iranians with online information for Visa applications and student exchange programs. Its introduction comes in light of the fact that the US hasn't had a physical embassy in Tehran since the 444 day hostage crisis at its former embassy which was instigated by Islamist students in November 1979.

"Virtual initiatives will not compensate this mistake or convey the US message to the Iranian nation as claimed," the Foreign Ministry spokesman has stated.

Press TV or Press Photoshop?

Iran’s Press TV posted a photo of Iranians demonstrating their love for Jews on its website. The picture, however, was originally taken in a pro-government demonstration with the same sign reading, “Nuclear Energy Is Our Undeniable Right!” Good Photoshop, shameful journalism.

Thanks to Gateway Pundits for exposing the fake photo: (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2007/12/sad-iranian-press-tv-forced-to-run.html)
and Kamangir, a popular Iranian website, for running the story:
