Giant statues from Shahnameh are positioned at a section entrance of Dreamland of Padideh Shandiz. Interesting to see pre-Islamic folklore heroes being provided such a visible place in this massive development, at a holy city so central to Islamic religious tourism. Further evidence debunking external conceptions that such is not permitted in post-revolution Iran.

Update: 'Dreamland of Padideh Shandiz' in Mashhad, under construction

Considerable progress detected at the massive construction site for "Dreamland of Padideh Shandiz" in Mashhad. To put this construction activity into perspective, UOI report from 14JAN14 click HERE, from 18AUG13 click HERE. Readily apparent in these images there is no slowdown in effect for this development.

Kourosh Complex in Tehran, recently constructed

Much has taken place at the Kourosh Commercial Complex site since UOI last observed on 07APR14. Amateur photography from around 13OCT14 depicts Kourosh Complex in Tehran completed, with the lower three floors leased to Iranian open-for-business storefronts.

Upper four levels appear to be vacant, however an amusement arcade is situated within the complex. Intyerested readers are encouraged to view the Kourosh Complex web site HERE.

Update: Isfahan International Convention area, under construction

Progress plainly visible at Isfahan International Convention Center construction site since UOI previously observed 22DEC13. Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) panels appear fitted the complete circumference of radome.
