West Accuse Iran of Violating UN Sanctions on Ballistic Missiles

The US, Britain, France and Germany are accusing Iran of violating UN sanctions prohibiting any launches using ballistic missile technology.

US Ambassador Susan Rice said the four countries reported the ballistic missile violation to the Security Council committee monitoring sanctions against Iran.

Britain's UN Ambassador Mark Lyall Grant said the violation occurred when Iran launched the Rasad 1 satellite in June, saying that the launch of the satellite was dependent on ballistic missile technology."

  4. It's an unreasonable expectation that Iran will not continue to test ballistic missile technology, or launch space rockets.

  10. If western leaders are so concerned about Iran's missiles, maybe they should also stop using threatening rhetoric against Iran at every chance they get which forces Iran to also develop defensive/offensive counter measures..It's not rocket science.

India launches a space vehicle and the west praise them for their success. Iran launches a space vehicle and the west cry blood...Pathetic!!! Like one anon said, unless they want to sanction space too, there's nothing they can do to stop Iran's space project much like the nuclear one.

Better for them to learn to live with it than whining like cry babies. It's getting boring...

    Huh??? What gives???

So if we go by your logic, because Iran has a "mad regime", science and technology should be withheld from the Iranian people or the "mad regime" shouldn't be allowed to invest in science for the benefit of the people until your favorable regime come to power? I see. I won't my breath.

Meanwhile, Iran continues to progress scientifically..Please try to see things objectively and don't mix politics with science..

Since when is Greece Portugal Iceland Spain is the "Western powers"?

The US and Britain are the Western powers and they will be here for a long time to come friend don't you worry about that.

The only spent force is the Islamic regime and its suicidal economic and foreign policies.

Believe it the Islamic regime will be gone and America will have a new president and economic recovery that's the way it is and has always been live with it.

Iran has always been interested in science and technology and it will maintain its interest after the fall of this theocracy.

Under this regime Iran has lost its best brains by leaving the country in droves to countries like US because of better pay and conditions and human rights to say anything opposite is idiotic.

When this theocracy is gone these scientists and engineers will come back and rebuild Iran.

We don't need uneducated fanatic zealots to tell what educated Iranians should think and do.

Please, what missile launch, exactly ?
    I don't see the point.
To my knowledge, Iran didn't launch any ballistic missiles until now.
Recently they were test firing some minor anti-aircraft, anti-tank missiles and naval anti-vessel missiles, and they were launching some satellite gear with large rockets, but no missiles.
