IAEA Inspectors to Travel to Iran

Monitoring Implementation of Geneva Accord
Five inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will arrive in Tehran on January 18, Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) announced today. (Mehr News Agency)

Behrooz Kamalvand, an AEOI spokesman, told Mehr the inspectors will travel to Iran as monitors for the implementation of the Geneva nuclear accord, which will go into effect on January 20.

Kamalvand said the first step in implementing the accord would be suspension of uranium enrichment in the 20 percent-pure level.

“Iran should carry out the six items that IAEA demanded from Tehran based on the nuclear deal by February 10 and after that Iran will wait to be informed whether IAEA has further questions or not,” said Kamalvand. (Mehr News Agency/Trend, 14 January)
