Iran’s Sexual Revolution

'Iran is in the throes of an unprecedented sexual revolution'

“Iran's sexual revolution is certainly unprecedented. Social attitudes have changed so much in the last few decades that many members of the Iranian diaspora are shellshocked when they visit the country: "These days Tehran makes London look like a conservative city," a British-Iranian acquaintance recently told me upon returning from Tehran. When it comes to sexual mores, Iran is indeed moving in the direction of Britain and the United States -- and fast.”

  1. Poorly written article, but then again I don't expect much from FP and likes of mister Afshin Shahi. All I see is sensationalism.

  2. nothing will maintain the backward idiocy of the Iranian theocrats' attitudes toward women and nothing will long suffice to maintain these stupid old men's repression of Iranian women.

IT IS TRUE-Iran is Indeed moving in the direction of the Britain and the USA--and fast!!.

    Question one-
will you then congratulate the regime for relaxing the 'rules' to give women such freedoms?

    question two-
if you lambast the regime for tight controls in the mass media which is a 'negative' on the regime according to your standard ,would you then class this one as a 'positive' on the regime according to the same standard?

-maybe your poor appetite on highlighting 'positive' things done by the regime and the lack of balance -is your last hurdle to being a true top notch democratic crusader!!.

This post is a reprint of an article in Foreign Policy. Please address the issues raised in the article. You tend to use sarcastic language and personal attacks when you don’t have much to say about the subject of discussion. This post, and this blog, is not about me. So please limit your comments to the subjects of the posts. That way you will help us all with the debate/discussion on important issues. Sarcasm kills meaningful discussions, you should know that, as you have been subject of that type of attack.
