Iran Slowing Nuclear Program – Israel

Won’t Have Bomb Before 2015
Israeli intelligence sources have told McClatchy's Sheera Frenkel that Iran has intentionally slowed its uranium enrichment program. Israeli military and political officials now think it's unrealistic that Iran could develop nuclear weapons before 2015.
“Previous assessments were built on a set of data that has since shifted,” an Israeli intelligence officer told McClatchy.

“We can't attribute the delays in Iran's nuclear program to accidents and sabotage alone,” the Israeli intelligence officer said. “There has not been the run towards a nuclear bomb that some people feared. There is a deliberate slowing on their end.” (McClatchy Newspapers, 28 January)

Meanwhile, McClatchy quoting Alex Fishman, military correspondent of Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot, says that Israeli officials have notified the country’s allies in the West of the new calculations that Iran couldn’t possess nuclear weapons before 2015.
“Officials responsible for assessing the state of the Iranian nuclear program, both in the West and in the International Atomic Energy Agency, believe that while the Iranians have continued to pursue their nuclear program, they have been doing so cautiously and slowly, making sure not to cross the point of no return,” said Fishman. 1. In other words, as some of us have been saying for years now, citing NIE reports, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not possess a nuclear weapons program.

Citing ISIS, biased MSM newswires and certain political figures has only led to further hype a threat that is not there.

  2. How deceitful. They say this so that they West could continue to put Iran under sanctions longer. They were saying Iran would have a bomb five years ago when that did not happen they shifted and the latest was in Summer. Now they realize by Summer people will be asking......so they shift again...how devilish, how evil!

    1. nope. that isn't it. the Israelis are now confident that if Iran tries to assemble nuclear weapons, Iran will be facing military intervention from larger nations and Iran can no nothing to either prevent that or frustrate it.

    2. Dream-on. The "larger" nations are having a hard time "fighting" Taureg camel herders in Mali and are begging for money, I seriously wonder if you live in a world of parallel reality or playstation fantasy. Iran passed the nuclear threshold at least a decade ago and not a mouse stirred or ever will.
