IAEA Report on Iran Will Suggest Work on Nuclear Weapons - AP

The Associated Press reports today that the IAEA plans to reveal next week details suggesting Iran’s secret work on building nuclear weapons, including the completion of computer models for a nuclear warhead. IAEA chief Yukiya Amano will present his report to the 35-member board of governors. The report is said to include satellite imagery of a large steel container used for high explosive tests related to nuclear weapons at Parchin military base. The report reportedly will say that more than 10 nations have supplied intelligence to IAEA on the Iranian nuclear weapon program.

You mean the Chinese will join the West in attacking Iran, too?? Well, tell them to sign up and join the long line of the "lets-bomb-Iran" shrubs out there.. What's Iran not seen before?

Saddam had pretty much all the West/Russia's backing during the brutal 8-years war.Even that, Iran didn't fall or capitulate..In fact, the West made sure Iran never wins but the result is clear to see. Iran's influence in in Iraq today is more than it has been since the last 50 years..Western military planner base their success on dead body counts. Iran base theirs on the amount on influence one has when the dust of war settles..Brain over muscle..It still doesn't stop them from having their empire wet dreams, though.

If they want war, tell them we've been waiting 30+ years for them.

  5. cit: "A large steel container used for high explosive tests related to nuclear weapons at Parchin military base". Allegedly.

Hmm, that's very weak "evidence" to make a case against Iran.
It does not even suffice to construct a "Gulf of Tonkin" incident.

  7. Anon 3:52----Saddam may have had the US and Russia hoping that he would win the war wih Iran (and that is arguable) but Saddam had nothing in the way of military power that would compare with the US or Russia.

I very much hope that there is not a war, but please remember that Iran also could not beat Saddam

and the US destroyed his army very quickly, with few US casualties, and with employing only a fraction of the US military capability.

Iran may proud itself on standing defiantly against the US, but a military fight is not within Iran's capability or interest.

the regime will be destroyed and the people will suffer. let's not live to see any more suffering.

  10. ---no US soldiers come alive out of persian gulf. ---

it's the Iranian miltary that won't survive a battle in the gulf.....

you really have nary a clue about what the US military can do

if the US lost every ship and man in the gulf, they could be replaced in three days. if the shooting starts, iran has no protection from the air power that would be brought to bear.

all the talk about how the US military is exhausted is just terribly ignorant and it's dangerous for Iranians to believe it.

please don't make a fatal error. there is no way that iran's military would last as long as Saddam's did.
