Unrest in Tehran

Iran’s state-owned Press TV is reporting small groups of anti-government protesters have “disrupted order in the Iranian capital Tehran.” The Press TV report did not provide any details of the protests, but has provided a photo of a burning vehicle on a street with few protesters present.

Meanwhile, AP is reporting from Tehran that clashes between the police and protesters are underway and the police are using tear gas to disperse the crowd.

There are no reliable reports as of yet on the number of protesters.

    Usual US/Zionist propaganda. The CIA paid rent a thugs can be counted on fingers despite pathetic US failing efforts to destabilize Iran. This is indeed TOO FUNNY. They want to turn Iran into another basketcase like Egypt and Pakistan. SIMPLY NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

    Security forces appear to have been very restrained, with some use of tear gas and physical breakup of crowds. Government claims teams of MKO infiltrated Tehran and shot one person dead; one team was captured. Hard to say how many people came to the streets. Some (see pbs Iran bureau) report 350,000 which is very unlikely. At best we had 10-20,000. More likley, a few thousand.

    Nothing shows support for the struggle of the Egyptian people better than chants of "Not Gaza.Not Lebonan.My life Only for Iran!"The Egyption people should be verry greatfull for such a clear and undeniable support from the green(bowel)movement!!!

    Nader, that's the understatement of the year! From the Huffington Post, and WSJ claiming "hundreds of thousands", to the BBC's "up to a hundred protesters", the desperation of the West is now running at full tilt. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.
