Iran Celebrates Revolution Anniversary

The celebrations of the 31st anniversary of the revolution are being held throughout Iran. The ten day period, Ten-Day Dawn, started on 1 February, the day Ayatollah Khomeini arrived in Tehran (1979), and will end on 11 February, when the shah’s government fell, marking the end of more than 2,500 years of monarchy in the country.
