Iraq: US-Iran Security Talks Unrealistic

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said in Baghdad today that Iraq has suspended efforts to re-start US-Iran talks on Iraqi security. Zebari said the growing tensions between US and Iran has made the resumption of talks unrealistic.

US-Iran security talks began as an Iraqi initiative in March 2007. The two sides have already held three rounds of talks in Baghdad.
