Just imagine, a U.S. polling organization unexpectedly calling households in Iran from outside the country asking if they favor their regime: and you expected to get anything less than 90%!

I didn’t call for a referendum. The question was asked as an observation to what Khomeini had said. Based on his rationale, we need to have a referendum just about now. But I guess he was only saying this at the time to justify holding of a referendum to legalize the establishment of the Islamic Republic. BTW, I voted yes on that day, 34 years ago.
Nader Uskowihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02808543185109048956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169130203475264933.post-40439993284888274742013-04-01T14:06:32.750-04:002013-04-01T14:06:32.750-04:00Oh Yeah.. The closest thing to that for Iran was that poll conducted after the 2009 election by a U.S. polling agency that showed slightly over 90 percent responding in varying degrees of favor toward their form of governance (Islamic plus participatory). Interestingly enough, that form (Islamic plus participatory) is also what majority Arab populations prefer, coming out of the "Arab Spring", which is characterized by Khamenei as an "Islamic Awakening".
Mark Pyruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00595161519097596575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169130203475264933.post-67842751194166441402013-04-01T12:57:16.091-04:002013-04-01T12:57:16.091-04:00@ anonymous 9:14, how about you go live in Iran, t...@ anonymous 9:14, how about you go live in Iran, then make your post.

ZAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169130203475264933.post-7671068813174640032013-04-01T12:41:54.528-04:002013-04-01T12:41:54.528-04:00http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_oJW8rxlRMhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_oJW8rxlRMAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169130203475264933.post-4740220269467304822013-04-01T12:30:38.317-04:002013-04-01T12:30:38.317-04:00Proud?
