Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenie said in a gathering of senior Shia clerics in Tehran today that resolving problems facing the Muslims requires the removal of the US from the Islamic World.
"The main problem in the Muslim world is the presence of the United States. It is the biggest problem. We need to address that," Khamenei said. "It is necessary to remove the United States from the Islamic world," he added.
Referring to the uprisings in the Arab world, Khamenei said the movements are not secular but Islamic in nature.
"The enemies try to say that the popular movements in Egypt, Tunisia and other nations are not Islamic, but certainly these popular movements are Islamic and must be consolidated," he said.

An Iranian citizen said in a street gathering of some 200 people in Tehran today that resolving problems facing the Iranians requires the removal of Mr. Khamenei from the Iranian power structure.
"The main problem in Iran is the presence of the Mr. Khamenei. It is the biggest problem. We need to address that," he said, while being beaten and handcuffed by two dozen security forces. "It is necessary to remove Mr. Khamenei from Iran," he added, before being punched in the face.
Referring to the 100 year old struggle for democracy in Iran, he said the Green movement is not Islamic but tolerant of all religions and secular in nature.
"The enemies try to say that the we are stooges of the West, monarchists, and the MKO, but certainly the green movement is home grown, patriotic, secular and strives for an independent Iran and must be consolidated," he said.
This unknown citizen has since disappeared and is most likely enjoying administration of medieval torture at the 5-star Evin hospitality center and spa in Tehran.
Radical Islam must be removed from the Islamic world. Violent jihad is not the way. The Islamic world needs more freedom, more openness, more protection of human rights, civil rights and even democracy.
I don't understand why everyone in the Islamic world is looking for something "SECULAR" ..... Muslims should try to establish Islamic system caz western world is seriously fearful anything that contains world "ISLAM" or "ISLAMIC"....Here I would like quote a speech of former British Prime minister William Gladstone when he addressed the parliament holding a copy of noble Quran in his hand "SO LONG AS THIS IS IN THE HEARTS AND MINDS OF THE EGYPTIANS,WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO DEFEAT THEM"...SO his statement clearly indicates that as long as the Muslims stick to the fundamentals of their religion no one can humiliate them.It's true that today Muslims particularly Arabs (including muslims all over the world) amassed huge wealth and living a lavish life forgetting their true identity as a result the whole muslim ummah is being humiliated.The word Secularism is used by the Christians to distance the muslims from Islam.......
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not teach us two forms or two versions of Islam.There is only one religion for the whole of mankind decided by ALLAH (sbwt) that is ISLAM. There is no radical or liberal version of Islam. Christians and Jews created these version on their own only to fool the muslims and invites them to accept the liberal version of Islam by this they are simply distancing the Muslims from the fundamental teachings of Islam."Secularism" is simply a trap from zionists for Muslims.
The United States does not care what a blowhard like Khamenei says.He is part of the problem and nowhere part of the solution.Radical Islam is now feeling the shockwaves of change.It is only a matter of time until the people of Iran overthrow these talking heads.
